Photo exhibition on Lithuanian - led PRT in Afghanistan opened at NATO HQ
On November 28, a photo exhibition titled “The Wind of Change: PRT in Chagcharan”, was opened at NATO Headquarters by NATO Secretary General together with Lithuanian Ambassador to NATO Linas Linkevicius. “ I think your nation is setting very important example indeed for the Alliance”, - said NATO Secretary General Jaap de Hoop Schefer during the opening. “It’s great to see what important role Lithuania is playing there in this priority area of NATO in Afghanistan, Chagcharan”. The exhibition was arranged by Lithuanian Delegation to NATO together with a support from NATO Public Diplomacy Division. The author of the photos Alfredas Pliadis has spent more than a month in the mountainous Ghor province of Afghanistan, where Lithuanian provincial reconstruction team was established this year.
