Lithuanian Military Ordinary, Bishop Gintaras Grušas visits Lithuanian Delegation to NATO

February 28, the Lithuanian Military Ordinary Bishop Gintaras Grušas visited the Lithuanian Delegation to NATO in Brussels. The Bishop met with the Permanent Representative of Lithuania on the North Atlantic Council, Ambassador Linas Linkevičius, the Military Representative of Lithuania to NATO maj. gen. Vitalijus Vaikšnoras, and members of the Delegation.

                                    

 

Bishop Gintaras Grušas described the functions and the structure of the Military Ordinariate, shed light on its plans for the nearest future; with the members of the Lithuanian Delegation to NATO he discussed the news of the Lithuanian Catholic Church, its work with the Lithuanian Government institutions.

 

The Lithuanian Military Ordinary assumed his function in July 2010, and is visiting the Lithuanian military in Lithuania and abroad. The visit to Brussels is part of this programme. During his visit in Belgium Bishop Gintaras Grušas also celebrated the Holy Mass with the Lithuanian community in Belgium, and met the friends of “Ateitis” – a Lithuanian youth organization, residing in Brussels.
