L. Linkevičius receives a delegation from Georgia
On May 6, 2010Ambassador Linas Linkevičius met with Mr. Georgi Phorchkidze, Deputy National Security Advisor of Georgia, Mr. Nodar Kharshiladze, Deputy Defence Minister of Georgia and Ms. Elene Khoshtaria, Deputy State Minister for European and Euro-Atlantic Integration of Georgia. The sides discussed the NATO-Georgia cooperation, the implementation of the Annual National programme, the process of reforms. The Georgian side introduced the National security review to be discussed with the Alliance at a NATO-Georgia Commission meeting the same day. Aditionally, the sides discussed the upcomming local elections, and the preparatory work done by Georgia in order to ensure a transparent election process. The Georgian side thanked Lithuania for support and expressed appreciation of the excellent work of the Lithuanian officer at the NATO liaison office in Tbilisi.
