Group of Lithuanian Youth Visits the Lithuanian Delegation to NATO

November 9 a group of young students from different Lithuanian towns visited Lithuanian Delegation to NATO in Brussels. The guests were met by Ambassador Linas Linkevičius, who introduced the current agenda of NATO, Lithuanian interests in the Alliance and the every-day work in Brussels.                          The guests were interested in the operation in Afghanistan and in the Lithuanian contribution to it, inquired about threats to Lithuania and Alliance solidarity. Discussions also touched upon the new NATO Strategic Concept which is being prepared and will be adopted at the NATO summit in Lisbon.   The group of youth came to Brussels upon the invitation from Mr. Vytautas Landsbergis, the Lithuanian Member of the European Parliament. The visit to NATO headquarters is an important part of the trip, since it shows a large spectrum of Lithuanian interests and work in the European Capital.
