Group of Lithuanian Guests Visits the Lithuanian Delegation to NATO
April 19 a group of former political prisoners and their descendants from different Lithuaniantowns visited Lithuanian Delegation to NATO in Brussels. The guests were met by Ambassador Linas Linkevičius, who introduced the current agenda of NATO, Lithuanian interests in the Alliance and the every-day work in Brussels. The guests were interested in the operation in Libya, NATO’s partnerships, especially withGeorgia, NATO relations with Russia, the work of the Lithuanian Delegation, and the processof decision making.The guests from Lithuania came to Brussels upon the invitation from Mr. Vytautas Landsbergis, the Lithuanian Member of the European Parliament. The visit to NATO headquarters is an important part of the trip, since it shows a large spectrum of Lithuanian interests and work in the European Capital.
