Greece has donated half a million Euro for the Lithuanian led development projects in Afghanistan Ghor Province
On February 10, during the small ceremony in the Lithuanian delegation, Permanent Representative of Greece H.E. Ambassador Thrasyvoulos Terry Stamatopoulos transferred to Lithuanian Ambassador Linas Linkevičius 500 000 EURO check designated for the development projects in Ghor Province, Afghanistan. According to the bilateral agreement Lithuania will spend this amount for development projects in the fields of education and health in the Ghor Province where it leads Provincial Reconstruction Team (PRT). While expressing his gratitude for Greece’s generous donation, ambassador L.Linkevičius encouraged making better use of the potential in our bilateral cooperation. One of the prospective areas of such cooperation could be participation of Greek experts in the work of PRT in the Ghor Province.
