National Defence Ministry and Seimas have opened the exposition marking 4th anniversary of Lithuania’s accession to NATO.
The exposition will display the best pieces of the “NATO contemporary art workshop” project among other issues reflecting NATO security themes.
Project “NATO contemporary art workshop” coordinated by non-governmental organisations Youth Centre “Babylon” and Artists Association “Rive of Ideas” is aimed at drawing society's attention of to the activities, principles and values of NATO as well as at refuting stereotypes about the Alliance and encouraging discussions of young people on contemporary security issues by means of art.
More than a hundred artists joined the project. The first display of exhibition was arranged during the NATO Defence Ministers’ meeting in Vilnius.
The exposition will be demonstrated at the NATO HQ Brussels once it is represented for Lithuanian audience.
Project “NATO contemporary art workshop” was supported and co-organised by National Defence Ministry and NATO Public Diplomacy Division. |
