Concert at the NATO HQ
A concert by a Lithuanian opera legend Eduardas Kaniava and his wife actress Barbora Abramavičiūtė took place September 28 at the NATO headquarters. The event was organized by the Lithuanian Delegation to NATO and the Lithuanian Community in Belgium. Maestro E. Kaniava spoke about his career of an artist, shared his memories and performed songs of Lithuanian and foreign authors. His wife, actress Barbora Abramavičiūtė recited poetry by a Lithuanian poet B. Brazdžionis, and treated the guests with a cake, baked according to her own recipe. Mr. Kaniava introduced and dedicated his autobiography “Singing: it’s my profession”. Each guest of the concert received as a gift the book, signed by the author.
