An exhibition on Georgian Armed Forces in Afghanistan opens in NATO HQ in Brussels
May 16 an exhibition on Georgian Armed Forces in Afghanistan was officially opened at NATO HQ in Brussels. The exhibition is organized by the Georgian Mission to NATO and the Lithuanian Delegation to NATO, as Lithuania is currently acting as a NATO Contact Point Embassy in Tbilisi. The exhibition was opened by the Deputy Prime Minister of Georgia Mr. Giorgi Baramidze, the NATO Deputy Secretary General, Ambassador Claudio Bisogniero and the Permanent Representative of Lithuania on the NAC, Ambassador. Linas Linkevičius. Georgia is actively participating in the NATO ISAF operation in Afghanistan. Its contribution is the second largest among NATO partners. The aim of the exhibition is to illustrate to the NATO nations and partners the scope of Georgia‘s contribution to the common goals with NATO, and its efforts in building security and stability in the Euro-Atlantic area.
