An exhibition of NATO nations‘ flags opened in SHAPE

An exhibition of 28 flags of all the NATO members is open in SHAPE, Mons. The exhibition was prepared by children and teachers from the kindergarten „Bangelė“ in Šiauliai, Lithuania. The flags were made of second hand materials, such as plastic cups, plates, candy paper and plastic bags. Thus the idea of the exhibition encompasses several themes: security, solidarity and environment.   The organizers of the project also held a Gala feast where the participants discussed each NATO member state. The event helped children to better understand NATO, learn more about the allies and the ways in which the Lithuanian security is ensured.Partners of the exhibition: the Lithuanian Air Force Air Base in Šiauliai, the 5th Territorial Unit of Vytis Military District of the National Defense Volunteer Force, NATO Air Policing mission at Šiauliai Military Airfield.
