Ambassadors discuss NATO values and future perspectives in Vilnius
Democratic Politics Institute of Vilnius hosted discussion “NATO: values and future perspectives” at Chodkeviciai Palace in Vilnius on occasion of the NATO Defence Ministers meeting. The discussion with high NATO officials was broadcasted live on the Internet. The discussion addressed values promoted by NATO, goals the organisation was established for, and the importance of collective security. NATO Assistant Secretary General for Public Diplomacy Jean-Francois Bureau, His Excellency Ambassador to NATO of the Republic of Lithuania Linas Linkevicius, His Excellency Ambassador to NATO of the Kingdom of Holland Herman Schaper, and His Excellency Ambassador to NATO of the Kingdom of Spain Pablo Benavides Orgaz shared their opinion with persons influential in public opinion shaping, intellectuals and journalists. The discussion was an innovative initiative of Democratic Politics institute, Lithuanian National Defence Ministry, and NATO Public Diplomacy Division.
